English Language Challenges

Learning English in the university has been pretty good for me, but I would not say  "learning" It has been more like reinforcing what I already know about this language. Anyways, my English had a big improve by taking this class, I have learned more vocabulary and native expressions than ever, so I a so happy about my current level English, now I can write and talk English more easily and with more confidence. 

One the most used formats of learning in this English class is this, the English blogs. As I said, I feel more confident of my writing in English because of this format. Writing in English every week is a good way to improve your grammar and vocabulary in English. 

In spite of the improvement that my English has taken, I am still week in some aspects of the Language. When I have to talk it, my pronunciation and fluently are not like I wanted to be, I think is because we don't practice talking in the class, so all your progress in this aspect is all yours. So, my current plan to improve my talking is hearing more English and talking it more with someone or just with me. Hearing it more will improve my pronunciation and my glossary of commune expression, and talking it will improve my fluently. Outside the English class, I use the language very much, every day I can say. I watch a lot of "youtube" in my free time, and the 90% of the videos I watch are in English. Sometimes I use it to find some information that I cannot find in Spanish.

Changes to my study programme

The current programme of my career is actually pretty new, I met a lot of students from the same degree but older, and they always said "You are lucky, the new programme is awesome" And I agree with them. But is just a regroup of the old one. All the knowledge we learned from different subjects are instantly useful to understand everything, in that way, it’s pretty dynamic and I like it so much. So, in this moment I would not change anything from it. The subjects we have to study are all related with science, even math or English, I feel like I am learning so fast and going in just one direction: Science knowledge. Everything is related but that doesn't say it would be easy, on the contrary, It requires a lot of effort to stay in the race so the workload is very heavy. On the other hand, The faculty facilities is where we find some problems, for example, we don't have a huge place where we can have lunch with our friends, they are a few tables that cannot support the big amount of students we have, the laboratory has everything to work, but aesthetically, they are pretty old and unflattering same as classrooms. In spite of that, I am here for the professors and the prestige of the faculty, so that doesn't bother me so much. The teaching methods are very traditional, except in math that we learned using programs on the computer. The use of technology ,at this moment, is very week but I hope that we will use it more.
